“Our nine year son has been attending The Rock Project in Shrewsbury for just over a year now. He got into guitar as a result of our getting concerned about the amount of time he wanted to spend on games and screens so we placed my old acoustic in the lounge and waited to see what happened. This led to lessons at school and limited progress until we meet the Rock Project. Since then he has moved on to his own electric and the progress he has made in a little over a year is astounding. As a musician myself I fully appreciate the importance of not just practising an instrument solo but the experience of playing in an band at such a young age is a unique opportunity offered,as far as I am aware, only by the Rock Project in this area. In addition to the work with the kids the Rock Project also offers the same chance to adults who may not have had the opportunity in their younger days. I would highly recommend the work of the Rock Project and wish that a similar opportunity had been available when I was our son’s age.”
